CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 79-66 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT WHICH WOULD CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF A 2.5 ACRE PARCEL OWNED BY CASTLEWOOD ENTERPRISES LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST QUADRANT OF JUNCTION OF JUNIPERO DRIVE WITH SUNOL BOULEVARD FROM "PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL" TO "COMMERCIAL AND OFFICES" AND "HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meet{ng of April 24, 1979, re- ceived a proposed negative declaration f~r a General Plan Amendment ~xich would change the land use designation of a 2.5 acre site (hereinafter referred to as the Project) located at the southeast quadrant of the junction of Junipero Drive with Sunol Boulevard from "Public and Institu- tional" to "Commercial and Offices" and "High Density Resi- dential;" and WHEREAS, staff has determined that the proposed General Plan Amend- ment for Castlewood Enterprises is a project for the pur- poses of the California Environmental Quality Act; and WHEREAS, an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66 was prepared for the Project; and WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of April 24, 1979, also received that Initial Study dated April l6, 1979; and WHEREAS, each member of the City Council had a copy of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and WHEREAS, the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the proposed environmental assessment, which had been published in the Pleasanton Times, a newspaper of general circulation; and WHEREAS , the City Council is aware of the provisions of the City's Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Report as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council determines that the proposed Project would not have any significant adverse effects on the environment and therefore no Environmental Impact Report shall be prepared.
