CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 79-65 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION FR~ THOMAS K. McMANUS <br />FOR A GENERAL PLAN AJ~ENDMENT TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNA- <br />TION OF A 5-ACRE PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED IMMEDIATELY WESTERLY <br />OF THE TERMINUS OF SUTTER GATE AVENUE AND SOUTHERLY OF THE <br />ARROYO MOCHO CANAL FROM "PARKS AND RECREATION" TO "~EDIUM <br />DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of April 24, 1979, the City Council received <br />an application from Thomas K. McManus for a General Plan <br />Amendment to change the land use designation of a 5-acre <br />parcel of land located immediately westerly of the terminus <br />of Sutter Gate Avenue and southerly of the Arroyo Mocho <br />Canal from "Parks and Recreation" to "Medium Density Resi- <br />dential." <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of April 24, 1979, also con- <br />sidered a report dated April 16, 1979, together with attach- <br />ments from the Director of Planning and Community Development <br />regarding the proposed General Plan Amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Director of Planning and Community Development recommends <br />approval of this application (GP-79-3) in that the remainder <br />of the 66-acre parcel owned by Mr. McManus, of which this <br />5-acre parcel is a part, was previously designated to "Medium <br />Density Residential" land use and a change in the land use <br />designation for the remaining 5-acre parcel to "Medium Density <br />Residential" would bring it into conformance with the balance <br />of the parcel; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council held a public hearing with respect to the <br />General Plan Amendment at which time any member of the public <br />was offered the opportunity to address the City Council on <br />said amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after the close of the public hearing, the City Council delib- <br />erated upon the proposed amendment, considering the informa- <br />tion set forth in the staff report of the Director of Planning <br />and attachments thereto; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council approves the application of Thomas Ko <br /> McManus for a General Plan Amendment to change the land use <br /> designation of a 5-acre parcel of land located immediately <br /> westerly of the terminus of Sutter Gate Avenue and Southerly <br /> of the Arroyo Mocho Canal from "Parks and Recreation" to <br /> 'Medium Density Residential." <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Council determines that this amendment, along with <br /> the other amendments adopted April 24, 1979, is one of three <br /> <br /> <br />
