CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFOrnIA RESOLUTION NO. 79-64 WHEREAS, A RESOLUTION REQUIRING THAT AN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT SHOULD BE PREPARED ON THE APPLICATION OF STONESON DEVELOPMENT COMPANY FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF A 91.5 ACRE SITE LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST INTERSECTION OF 1-580 AND 1-680 FROM "HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL", "PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL", AND "PARKS AND RECREATION", TO "COMMERCIAL AND OFFICES", "PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL", AND "HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" at its meeting'of'April 11, 1979, the Planning Commission recommended approval of case GP-79-5, the application of Stoneson Development Corporation for a general plan amend- ment to change the General Plan designation of the 91.5-acre site located at the southwest quadrant of the intersection of 1-580 and 1-680 from "High Density Residential", "Public and Institutional", and"Parks and Recreation", to "Commercial and Office", "Public and Institutional", and "High Density Resi- dential"; and WHEREAS, staff has determined that the proposed amendment is a project for the purposes of the California Environmental Quality Act; and WHEREAS, an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66 was prepared for the Project; and WHEREAS , the City Council, at its meeting of April 24, 1979, also re- ceived that Initial Study dated April 5, 1979, and held a public hearing on this application and proposed negative dec- laration; and WHEREAS, each member of the City Council had a copy of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative Dec- laration and Initial Study; and WHEREAS, the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the proposed environmental assessment, which had been published in the Pleasanton Times, a newspaper of general circulation; and NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Requires that a directed Environmental Impact Report be prepared on the application of Stoneson Development Corporation for a General Plan amendment to change the General Plan desig- nation of the 91.5 acre site located at the southwest intersec- tion on 1-580 and 1-680 from "High Density Residential", "Public and Institutional", "Parks and Recreation", to "Commercial and Office", "Public and Institutional", and "High Density Residential"
