CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-92 <br /> <br />RE: AUTHORIZING THE ADDITION OF TWO FIREFIGHTER POSITIONS <br /> IN THE PLEASANTON FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at the City Council meeting of May 22, 1979, the City Manager <br />presented a report regarding the need for additional staff <br />in the Pleasanton Fire Department in order to handle the <br />workload and provide adequate fire protection and service <br />to the citizens of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />after discussion, it was determined to be appropriate to <br />approve the request for additional staffing in the Fire <br />Department; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves the City Manager's report related to Fire Depart- <br /> ment staffing and authorizes the addition of two Firefighter <br /> positions in the Pleasanton Fire Department. <br /> <br />Section 2. The 1978-79 Budget for the Pleasanton Fire Department is <br /> hereby amended to provide the additional staff approved in <br /> Section 1 above. <br /> <br />Section 3.
