CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-119 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE <br />APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO PREZONE A 37 <br />ACRE AREA LOCATED ALONG STANLEY BLVD., BETWEEN MAIN STREET <br />AND STANLEY BOULEVARD BETWEEN MAIN STREET AND FIRST <br />STREET-STANLEY BLVD. ROADWAY TO THE R-i-20,000 (SINGLE- <br />FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT AND THE C-S (SERVICE COM- <br />MERCIAL) DISTRICT <br /> <br />I~{EREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of July 24, 1979 received <br />a proposed negative declaration for the application of <br />the City of Pleasanton to prezone a 37-acre area located <br />along Stanley Boulevard between Main Street and First <br />Street to the R-i-20,000 (Single-Family Residential) <br />(hereinafter referred to as the Project); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />staff has determined that the proposed prezoning of the <br />property is a project for the purposes of California <br />Environmental Quality Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Im- <br />pact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City <br />Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66 <br />was prepared for the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of July 24, 1979 also <br /> received that Initial Study dated July 10, 1979; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />each member of the City Council had a copy of Resolution <br />No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and Initial Study; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the <br />proposed environmental assessment, which had been pub- <br />lished in the Pleasanton Times, a newspaper of general <br />circulation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council is aware of the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation <br />of projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact <br />Report as they pertain to requirements for Negative <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council determines that the proposed Project, <br /> Prezoning of a 37 acre area located along Stanley Boulevard <br /> between Main Street and First Street to the R-I-20,000 <br /> (Single-Family Residential) District,would not have <br /> any significant adverse effects on the environment and <br /> therefore no Environmental Impact Report shall be prepared. <br /> <br /> <br />
