CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-113 <br /> <br />APPROVING REMOVAL OF CITY OWNED DWELLING AT 391 ST. MARY <br />STREET TO COMPLETE THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE EXTENSION OF <br />PETERS AVENUE FROM ST. MARY STREET TO ST. JOHN STREET <br /> <br />W~HEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton owns the property at 391 St. Mary <br />Street which was purchased for the purpose of completing <br />Peters Avenue from St. Mary Street to St. John Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this portion of the project was budgeted in the 1979-80 <br /> Fiscal Year Budget; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of July 10, 1979, received <br />a report from the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br />dated July 3, 1979, recommending that the house at 391 St. <br />Mary Street be sold by auction to the successful bidder who <br />would then remove the house so that the Peters Avenue pro- <br />ject could be completed; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br /> Approves the report of the Director of Public Works and <br />Utilities Director dated July 3, 1979, and authorizes staff <br />to proceed with the sale of the dwelling at 391 St. Mary <br />Street by auction as outlined in his report. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall be effective immediately. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON JULY 10, 1979, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE. <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Kephart, Wood and Mayor Brandes <br /> <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />- Mercer <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />FRANK C. GETTMAN <br /> <br />This is the resolution which was <br />adopted on July 10, 1979, approving <br />removal and sale of the house at <br />at 391 St. Mary Street so that <br />Peters Avenue could be completed. <br /> <br />Frank Brandes then later said he <br />wanted to hold off signing it since <br />the possibility had been raised of <br />the City keeping the house and <br />moving it to another location. <br /> <br /> <br />
