CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-107 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION INDICATING THE CITY COUNCIL'S WILLINGNESS <br />TO ANNEX THE 35 ACRE PARCEL OF PROPERTY OWNED BY ERNEST E. <br />PESTANA AND DIRECTING STAFF TO BEGIN ANNEXATION PROCEED- <br />INGS WITH LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />The City Council, at its meeting of June 26, 1979, received <br />an application from Ernest E. Pestana to begin annexation <br />proceedings in connection with his 35-acre parcel of pro- <br />perty located immediately adjacent to the City limits be- <br />tween the end of Arlington Drive and Happy Valley Road; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Council also received at that meeting a report from the <br />City Manager dated 6/21/79 and a letter from Mr. Pestana <br />regarding the possible annexation of the property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after a review of the information presented, it was deter- <br />mined to be desirable to initiate annexation proceedings <br />with the Local Agency Formation Commission; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1. Approves the report of the City Manager dated June 21, <br /> 1979 and the application from Mr. Ernest E. Pestana to <br /> initiate annexation proceedings for Mr. Pestana's property <br /> located immediately adjacent to the City limits between <br /> the end of Arlington Drive and Happy Valley Road and auth- <br /> orizes City staff to begin the necessary proceedings with <br /> the Local Agency Formation Commission and to take whatever <br /> steps necessary to complete the annexation. <br /> <br />Section 2.
