CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-140 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR AN <br />APPLICATION FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE GENERAL PLAN WHICH <br />WOULD INCLUDE A 74-ACRE PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED ON THE <br />WEST SIDE OF FOOTHILL ROAD BETWHEN BERNAL AVENUE AND <br />LONGVIEW DRIVE AS BEING WITHIN THE "URBANIZATION LINE" <br />ON THE LAND USE MAP OF THE GENERAL PLAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of August 28, 1979, received <br />a proposed negative declaration for an amendment to the General <br />Plan which would include a 74-acre parcel of land located on <br />the west side of Foothill Road between Bernal Avenue and <br />Longview Drive as being within the "Urbanization Line" on the <br />land use map~of the General Plan (hereinafter referred to as <br />the Project); and <br /> <br />staff has determined that the proposed amendment is a project <br />for the purposes of the California Environmental Quality Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact <br />Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the <br />City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66 was prepared for the <br />Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />~h& City Council, at its meeting of August 28, 1979 also <br />received that Initial Study dated May 4, 1979; and <br /> <br />each member of the City Council had a copy of Resolu'tion No. <br />77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and Initial Study; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the <br />proposed environmental assessment, which had been published <br />in the Pleasanton Times, a newspaper of general circulation; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council is aware of the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Report <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations <br />and Environmental Impact Reports. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council determines that the proposed Project would <br /> not have any significant adverse effects on the environment and <br /> therefore no Environmental Impact Report shall be prepared. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City staff is directed to cause a Notice of Determination <br /> to be filed pursuant to Section 5.4(g) of Resolution No. 77-66. <br /> <br />/// <br /> <br /> <br />
