CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-139 <br /> <br />APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR AN AMENDMENT TO <br />THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN TO CHANGE <br />THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF A 60-ACRE SITE LOCATED IM- <br />MEDIATELY SOUTH OF JOHNSON DRIVE AND ABOUT 700 FEET <br />WEST OF HOPYARD ROAD FROM "GENERAL AID LIMITED INDUS- <br />TRIAL" TO A COMBINED "INDUSTRIAL/COMMERCIAL AND OFFICES" <br />DESIGNATION. <br /> <br />WHEP. EAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of August 28, 1979 re- <br />ceived a proposed negative declaration for an amendment <br />to the land use element of the General Plan to change the <br />land use designation of a 60-acre site located immediately <br />south of Johnson Drive and about 700 feet west of Hopyard <br />Road from "General and Limited Industrial" to a combined <br />"Industrial/Cormnercial and Offices" designation. (herein- <br />after referred to as the Project); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />staff has determined that the proposed amendment is a pro- <br />ject for the purposes of the California Environmental <br />Quality Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact <br />Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of <br />the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66 was prepared <br />for the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of August 28, 1979 also <br /> received that Initial Study dated May 4, 1979; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />each member of the City Council had a copy of Resolution <br />No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and Initial Study; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the <br />proposed environmental assessment, which had been published <br />in the Pleasanton Times, a newspaper of general circulation; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council is aware of the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Report <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations <br />and Environmental Impact Reports. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council determines that the proposed Project <br /> would not have any significant adverse effects on the <br /> environment and therefore no Environmental Impact Report <br /> shall be prepared. <br /> <br /> <br />
