CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 79-139 APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF A 60-ACRE SITE LOCATED IM- MEDIATELY SOUTH OF JOHNSON DRIVE AND ABOUT 700 FEET WEST OF HOPYARD ROAD FROM "GENERAL AID LIMITED INDUS- TRIAL" TO A COMBINED "INDUSTRIAL/COMMERCIAL AND OFFICES" DESIGNATION. WHEP. EAS, the City Council, at its meeting of August 28, 1979 re- ceived a proposed negative declaration for an amendment to the land use element of the General Plan to change the land use designation of a 60-acre site located immediately south of Johnson Drive and about 700 feet west of Hopyard Road from "General and Limited Industrial" to a combined "Industrial/Cormnercial and Offices" designation. (herein- after referred to as the Project); and WHEREAS, staff has determined that the proposed amendment is a pro- ject for the purposes of the California Environmental Quality Act; and WHEREAS, an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66 was prepared for the Project; and WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of August 28, 1979 also received that Initial Study dated May 4, 1979; and WHEREAS, each member of the City Council had a copy of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and WHEREAS, the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the proposed environmental assessment, which had been published in the Pleasanton Times, a newspaper of general circulation; and WHEREAS, the City Council is aware of the provisions of the City's Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Report as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council determines that the proposed Project would not have any significant adverse effects on the environment and therefore no Environmental Impact Report shall be prepared.
