CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-138 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR A <br />GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIG- <br />NATION FOR A ONE-ACRE PARCEL LOCATED AT 3963 STANLEY <br />BOULEVARD FROM "COMMERCIAL AND OFFICES" TO "~.~DIUM <br />DENSITY RESDENTIAL" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of August 28, 1979, <br />received a proposed negative declaration for an amendment <br />to the land use element of the General Plan to change the <br />land use designation for a one-acre parcel located at <br />3963 Stanley Boulevard from "Commercial and Offices" to <br />"Medium Density Residential" (hereinafter referred to as <br />the Project); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />staff has determined that the proposed amendment to the <br />land use element of the General Plan is a project for the <br />purposes of the California Environmental Quality Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact <br />Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of <br />the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66 was prepared <br />for the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of August 28, 1979 also <br /> received that Initial Study dated June 7, 1979; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />each member of the City Council had a copy of Resolution <br />No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and Initial Study; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the <br />proposed environmental assessment, which had been published <br />in the Pleasanton Times, a newspaper of general circulation; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council is aware of the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Report <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations <br />and Environmental Impact Reports. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council determines that the proposed General <br /> Plan Amendment to change the land use element for a one- <br /> acre parcel located at 3963 Stanley Boulevard from "Com- <br /> mercial and Offices" to "Medium Density Residential" would <br /> not have any significant adverse effects on the environment <br /> and therefore no Environmental Impact Report shall be pre- <br /> pared. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
