CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 79-124 <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT TO COMPLETE A HOUSING COST SURVEY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at the June 12, 1979 Council meeting, the use of Housing <br />and Community Development Act Funds for a survey to deter- <br />mine the need for moderate and low income housing or sub- <br />sidized housing in Pleasanton was discussed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />staff presented a possible scope of services that could be <br />used to help select a consulting firm to conduct the sur- <br />vey; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Council instructed staff to prepare a contract with a sur- <br />vey research firm and have the firm create a draft of the <br />survey and return the contract and the draft questions to <br />Council for review; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Council, at its July 24, 1979, meeting received a report <br />from Assistant City Manager James R. Walker, dated July 19, <br />1979, together with a copy of a proposal by Field Research <br />Corporation to conduct the Housing Cost Survey for Pleasan- <br />ton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />staff recommended that Council authorize the staff to enter <br />into an agreement with Field Research Corporation, based <br />on the above proposal, to complete the Housing Cost Sur- <br />vey with a sample size of 300 interviews at a total cost of <br />$6,000; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br /> Approves the report of Assistant City Manager James R~ <br />Walker, dated July 19, 1979, and authorizes the staff to <br />enter into an agreement with Field Research Corporation, <br />based on the above proposal, to complete the Housing Cost <br />Survey with a sample size of 300 interviews at a total <br />cost of $6,000. <br /> <br />Section 2.
