CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-154 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF EMERGENCY <br />AMBULANCE SERVICE PROGRAM AGREEMENT WITH ALAMEDA <br />COUNTY AND THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />emergency ambulance service to the City of Pleasanton is <br />provided through an agreement with Alameda County, which <br />contracts with a private company, Tri-Cities Ambulance, <br />Inc., for the service; and <br /> <br />the agreement with Alameda County expired on June 30, <br />1979; and <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of September 11, 1979, <br />considered a report dated September 5, 1979 from the <br />Assistant City Manager, with reference to renewing the <br />agreement for emergency ambulance services together with <br />a copy of the proposed emergency ambulance service agree- <br />ment with Alameda County; and <br /> <br />after considering said report and agreement, the City Council <br />determined that this is the most efficient way of providing <br />emergency ambulance services in the Pleasanton area. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Authorizes the Mayor to execute, with Alameda County, <br /> an agreement entitled Emergency Ambulance Service Program <br /> Agreement for Zone V. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Clerk is authorized to transmit a copy of <br /> this Resolution to the Board of Supervisors of Alameda <br /> County advising them of the action taken by the City of <br /> Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Section 3.
