CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-153 <br /> <br />REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE OVERLAP <br />OF VINEYARD AVENUE (PROJECT NO. 79-6) FROM FIRST <br />STREET TO ADAMS WAY TO W.G. LEWIS, INC. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City prepared plans and specifications for the overlap <br />of Vineyard Avenue (Project No. 79-6) from First Street to <br />Adams Way; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code ~37900, et seq., the City <br />Engineering Services Department advertised for bids <br />regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of W.G. Lewis Inc., 781 Old County Road, San Carlos, <br /> Ca., was the lowest responsible bid; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The bid of W.G. Lewis, Inc. in the amount of $20,658.00 <br /> for the construction of the overlap of Vineyard Avenue (Project <br /> No. 79-6) from First Street to Adams Way is hereby accepted. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City is authorized to enter into a contract with W.G. <br /> Lewis, Inc. for the improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3.
