WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALA~EDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-152 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF COOPERATION <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF ALAMEDA AND THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON FOR DISTRIBUTION OF HOUSING <br />AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974 FUNDS <br /> <br />the Congress of the United States has enacted the Housing <br />and Community Development Act of 1974; and <br /> <br />Title I of said Act authorizes grants to counties qualify- <br />ing as urban counties (i.e., having a combined population <br />of two hundred thousand (200,000) or more in unincorporated <br />areas and include units of local government) and which have <br />entered into cooperation agreements to undertake or assist <br />in the undertaking of essential community development and <br />housing assistance activities; and <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton is one of seven cities in Alameda <br />County having a 1970 census population of less than fifty <br />thousand (50,000) persons; and <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton has since 1975 entered into cooperation <br />agreements with Alameda County regarding public projects to be <br />developed in the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974; <br />and <br /> <br />on September 11, 1979 the City received a report from the <br />Director of Planning and Community Development together with <br />a proposed renewal cooperation agreement with the County of <br />Alameda; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute that certain <br /> cooperation agreement with the County of Alameda regarding <br /> Housing and Community Development Act funds as recommended <br /> by the Director of Plannning and Community Development. <br /> <br />Section 3.
