CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-148 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DISAPPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE GENERAL PLAN <br />RELATING TO LAND USE DESIGNATIONS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of August 28, 1979, the City Council received <br />requests that the City of Pleasanton General Plan be amended <br />to change certain land use designations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of August 28, 1979, considered <br />reports, together with attachments from the Director of Planning <br />and Community Development regarding the proposed General Plan <br />Amendments; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council held a public hearing with respect to the <br />General Plan Amendment at which time any member of the public <br />was offered the opportunity to address the City Council on said <br />amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after the close of the public hearing the City Council deliberated <br />upon the proposed amendment considering the information set forth <br />in the staff reports and attachments thereto, as well as the <br />information contained in the initial study leading to the Negative <br />Declaration for said project. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section i. The City Council <br /> of the General Plan, <br /> 76-26. as follows: <br /> <br />disapproves amendments to the Land Use Element <br />adopted on February 9,1976 by Resolution No. <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />GP-79-9 - Denied without prejudice <br />application of Ponderosa Homes for <br />an amendment to the Land Use Element <br />of the General Plan which would com- <br />prehensively change the land use des- <br />ignations on a 240-acre site located <br />between 1-680 and Hopyard Road north <br />and west of the existing development <br />along Hansen Drive and Via Quito. <br />The changes would remove the planned <br />school sites and rearrange the pro- <br />posed locations of parks, high density <br />residential, and medium density resi- <br />dential development on the site. <br /> <br />AYES NOES ABSENT <br /> <br />Butler Brandes Kephart <br />Mercer <br />Wood <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />Application of Taubman Company, Inc., AYES NOES <br />for an amendment to the General Plan <br />which would change the Land Use Des- Butler Mercer <br />ignation of the property located on Brandes Wood <br />the northeast corner of Foothill Road <br />and Stoneridge Drive from "Public and <br /> <br />ABSENT <br /> <br />Kephart <br /> <br /> <br />
