CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-145 <br /> <br />APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE APPLICATION OF <br />J. JACK BRAS FOR AN AMEDNMENT TO THE GENERAL PLAN WHICH <br />WOULD CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF A 2 ACRE PARCEL <br />OF LAND LOCATED ON THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF SUNOL BOULEVARD <br />AND HAPPY VALLEY ROAD FROM "INDUSTRIAL" TO "COMMERCIAL AND <br />OFFICES" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of August 28, 1979 received <br />a proposed negative declaration for an amendment to the land <br />use designation of a 2 acre parcel of land located on the <br />northeast corner of Sunol Boulevard and Happy Valley Road <br />from "Industrial" to "Commercial and Offices" (hereinafter <br />referred to as the Project); and <br /> <br />staff has determined that the proposed amendment to the land <br />use element is a project for the purposes of the California <br />Environmental Quality Act; and <br /> <br />an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact <br />Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of <br />the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66 was prepared <br />for the Project; and <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of August 28, 1979 also <br />received that Initial Study dated August 2, 1979; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />each member of the City Council had a copy of Resolution No. <br />77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative Dec- <br />laration and Initial Study; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the public was afforded an opportunity tO comment on the <br />proposed environmental assessment, which had been published <br />in the Pleasanton Times, a newspaper of general circulation; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council iS aware of the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Pr6cessing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Report <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations <br />and Environmental Impact Reports. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council determines that the proposed amendment to <br /> the General Plan which would change the land use designation <br /> of a 2 acre parcel of land located on the northeast corner of <br /> Sunol Boulevard and Happy Valley Road from "Industrial" to <br /> "Commercial and Offices" would not have any significant adverse <br /> effects on the environment and therefore no Environmental Impact <br /> Report shall be prepared. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
