CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-144 <br /> <br />APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE APPLICAITION <br />OF CAROLINE KNUDSON, INC., FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE <br />LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN TO CHANGE THE <br />LAND USE DESIGNATION OF A 5 ACRE SITE LOCATED BETWEEN <br />THE S.P.R.R. AND 1-680 IMMEDIATELY NORTH OF HAPPY <br />VALLEY ROAD FROM "GENERAL AND LIMITED INDUSTRIAL" TO <br />"COMMERCIAL AND OFFICES" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of August 28, 1979 received <br />a proposed negative declaration for an amendment to the land <br />use element of the General Plan to change the land use desig- <br />nation of a 5 acre site located between the S.P.R.R. and 1-680 <br />immediately north of Happy Valley Road from "General and <br />Limited Industrial" to "Commercial and Offices" (hereinafter <br />referred to as the Project); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />staff has determined that the proposed Genereal Plan Amendment <br />is a project for the purposes of the California Environmental <br />Quality Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact <br />Guidelines and procedures adopted by the City Council of the <br />City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66 was prepared for <br />the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of August 28, 1979 also <br /> received that Initial Study dated May 29, 1979; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />each member of the City Council had a copy of Resolution No. <br />77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and Initial Study; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the public was afforded an opporunity to comment on the <br />proposed environmental assessment, which had been published <br />in the Pleasanton Times, a newspaper of general circulation; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council is aware of the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Report <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations <br />and Environmental Impact Reports. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council determines that the proposed amendment to <br /> the General Plan to change the land use designation of a 5 acre <br /> site located between the S.P.R.R. and 1-680 immediately north <br /> of Happy Valley Road from "General and Limited Industrial" to <br /> "Commercial and Offices" would not have any significant adverse <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
