CITY v~UNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEA~NTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 79-179 <br /> <br />REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO <br />EUGENE G. ALVES CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. <br />FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF SANTA RITA ROAD AT <br />WEST LAS POSITAS BOULEVARD, PROJECT 79-12. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City prepared plans and specifications for Project <br />No. 79-12, Reconstruction of Santa Rita Road at West <br />Las Positas Boulevard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code #37900, et seq., the City <br />Engineering Department advertised for bids regarding <br />this project; and <br /> <br />bids were received and reviewed by Council at their <br />meeting of October 9, 1979; and <br /> <br />the bid of Eugene G. Alves Construction Company, Inc. <br />was determined to be the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The bid of Eugene G. Alves Construction Company, Inc. <br /> in the amount of $20,354.50 for the Reconstruction of <br /> Santa Rita Road at West Las Positas Boulevard, Project <br /> No. 79-12 is hereby accepted by City Council as the <br /> lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City is authorized to enter into a contract with <br /> Eugene G. Alves Construction Company, Inc. for the <br /> improvement specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3.
