CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-174 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 76-79 (ESTABLISHING <br />TRAFFIC REGULATIONS FOR CITY STREETS) BY AMENDING SUBSECTION <br />2, SECTION 2 (THROUGH STREETS) TO ESTABLISH A STOP SIGN <br />FOR TRAFFIC ON VALLEY AVENUE AT GREENWOOD ROAD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council of April 12, 1976, adopted Resolution No. <br />76-79 (A Resolution Estavlishing Traffic Regulations for <br />City Streets); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Section 3 of Resolution <br />for vehicles on certain <br />Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />76-79 pertains to Stop Intersections <br />streets within the City Limits of <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of September 18, 1979, the City Council <br />received and discussed a report dated September 18,1979, <br />from the Director of Public Works and Utilities related to <br />problems of traffic in the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />it was determined to be in the public interest to amend <br />Resolution No. 76-79 to establish a stop sign for traffic <br />on Valley Avenue at Greenwood Road. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves placing a four-way stop sign at Valley Avenue and <br /> Greenwood Road for a period of one year on a trial basis. <br /> <br />Section 2. Resolutlon No. 76-79 (A Resolution Establishing Traffic <br /> Regulation for City Streets) is hereby amended to change <br /> Subsection 2v-1 of Section 2 (Through Streets) to read as <br /> follows: <br /> <br />2v-1 Valley Avenue, from Hopyard Road to Santa Rita <br />Road,'excluding the intersections with Hopyard Road, <br />Santa Rita Road, and Greenwood. <br /> <br />Section 3.
