CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 79-195 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 1979-81 LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF PLEASANTON AND ALAMEDA COUNTY AGRI- CULTRUAL FAIR ASSOCIATION REGARDING USE OF TENNIS FACILITY IN THE YOUNG CALIFORNIA BUILDING, ALAMEDA COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS WHEREAS, the City has leased the Alameda County Fairgrounds Young California Building (indoor tennis facility with four (4) courts - Tennis Faire) for various use periods since January 1, 1975; and WHEREAS, the lease negotiated for 1978-1979 was for a five month period from November 1, 1978 to March 31, 1979 extended through April 30, 1979 by a lease option; and WHEREAS, the rental fee for the five month period was two-hundred dollars ($7,200) with the Lessee utility costs; and seven-thousand (City) assuming WHEREAS, WHEREAS, staff has negotiated and recommeds approval of a lease with the Fair Association Board with only two changes, the term of the lease, and the condition of the facility at the be- ginning of the 1979 lease period; the Fair Board has agreed to a two year lease, five (5) months of each year from November 1 through March 31 with an option for the month of April; and WHEREAS, at its meeting of October 23, 1979, the City Council reviewed the lease agreement and report of the Director of Recreation and Human Resources relating to the negotiated agreement~ NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Authorizes the Mayor to execute the 1979-81 lease agreement between the Alameda County Agricultural Fair Association and and the City of Pleasanton for use of the Tennis Facility in the Young California Building for five months of each year. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately after its passage and adoption. THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON OCTOBER 23, 1979, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None
