CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-195 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 1979-81 LEASE AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN CITY OF PLEASANTON AND ALAMEDA COUNTY AGRI- <br />CULTRUAL FAIR ASSOCIATION REGARDING USE OF TENNIS <br />FACILITY IN THE YOUNG CALIFORNIA BUILDING, ALAMEDA <br />COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City has leased the Alameda County Fairgrounds Young <br />California Building (indoor tennis facility with four (4) <br />courts - Tennis Faire) for various use periods since <br />January 1, 1975; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the lease negotiated for 1978-1979 was for a five month <br />period from November 1, 1978 to March 31, 1979 extended <br />through April 30, 1979 by a lease option; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the rental fee for the five month period was <br />two-hundred dollars ($7,200) with the Lessee <br />utility costs; and <br /> <br />seven-thousand <br />(City) assuming <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />staff has negotiated and recommeds approval of a lease with <br />the Fair Association Board with only two changes, the term <br />of the lease, and the condition of the facility at the be- <br />ginning of the 1979 lease period; <br /> <br />the Fair Board has agreed to a two year lease, five (5) months <br />of each year from November 1 through March 31 with an option <br />for the month of April; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of October 23, 1979, the City Council reviewed <br />the lease agreement and report of the Director of Recreation <br />and Human Resources relating to the negotiated agreement~ <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Authorizes the Mayor to execute the 1979-81 lease agreement <br /> between the Alameda County Agricultural Fair Association and <br /> and the City of Pleasanton for use of the Tennis Facility in <br /> the Young California Building for five months of each year. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately after <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON OCTOBER 23, 1979, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br /> <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> <br />
