CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-187 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THAT CITY OF PLEASANTON'S ONE <br />UNALLOCATED CETA TITLE VI SUSTAINMENT POSITION BE GIVEN <br />TO THE VALLEY VOLUNTEER BUREAU FOR EMPLOYMENT OF A YOUTH <br />COORDINATOR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of October 9, 1979, the City Council received <br />a report from the Director of Recreation and Human Resources <br />dated October 8, 1979, related to one unallocated CETA Title <br />VI sustainment position; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />members of the public, the Valley Volunteer Bureau, and the <br />Chairman of the Human Services Commission were permitted to <br />present recommendations as to the allocation of the CETA <br />position. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves recommending that Pleasanton's one unallocated <br /> CETA Title VI sustainment position be given to the Valley <br /> Volunteer Bureau for employment of a Youth Coordinator. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall be effective immediately. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON OCTOBER 9, 1979, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Kephart, Mercer and Wood <br /> <br />NOES: Councilmember Butler and Mayor Brandes <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None ~~D~ <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />C/l~at~on E.
