CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 79-185 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR CASTLEWOOD ENTERPRISES TO REZONE 9.84+ ACRE SITE LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF FOOTHILL ROAD APPROXI- MATELy 550 FEET SOUTII OF BERNAL AVENUE FROM R-1-6500 (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT TO THE R-i-20,000 (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT ~{EREAS, the City Council at its meeting of October 9, 1979 received a proposed negative declaration for Castlewood Enterprises to rezone 9.84+ acre site located on the east side of Foothill Road approximately 550 feet south of Bernal Avenue from R-1- 6500 (Single-Family Residential) District to the R-I-20,000 (Single-Family Residential) District (hereinafter referred to as the Project); and WHEREAS, WHEREAS, staff has determined that the proposed rezoning is a project for the purposes of the California Environmental Quality Act; an Initial.Study done'pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66 was prepared for the Project; and WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of October 9, 1979 also received that Initial Study dated September 5, 1979; and WHEREAS , each member of the City Council had a copy of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and WHEREAS, the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the proposed environmental assessment, which had been published in the Pleasanton Times, a newspaper of general circulation; ~?HEREAS , the City Council is aware of the provisions of the City's Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Report as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declaration and Environmental Impact Reports. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council determines that the proposed Project would not have any significant adverse effects on the environment and therefore no Environmental Impact Report be prepared. shall Section 2. The City staff is directed to cause a Notice of Deter- mination to be filed pursuant to Section 5.4 (g) of Resolu- tion No. 77-66.
