CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-184 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR RE- <br />ZONING A 5 ACRE SITE ON THE NORTH SIDE OF HAPPY VALLEY <br />ROAD BETWEEN THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD AND FREEWAY <br />1-680 FROM'THE I-P (INDUSTRIAL PARK) DISTRICT TO THE <br />"0" (OFFICE) DISTRICT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of October 9, 1979 received <br />a proposed negative declaration for rezoning a 5 acre site on <br />the north side of Happy Valley Road between the Southern Paci- <br />fic Railroad and Freeway 1-680 from the I-P (Industrial Park) <br />District to the "0" (Office) District (hereinafter referred <br />to as the Project), including a report from the Director of <br />Planning a staff report to the Planning Commission dated <br />September 12, 1979 and excerpts of Planning Commission minutes <br />of meeting September 12, 1979; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff has determined that the proposed rezoning is a project <br /> for the purposes of the California Environmental Quality Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />each member of the City Council had a copy of Resolution No. <br />77-66 (Environmental Guidelines and Procedures) at the time <br />of considering the proposed Negative Declaration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the <br />proposed environmental assessment, which had been published <br />in the Pleasanton Times, a newspaper of general circulation; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council is aware of the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Report <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations <br />and Environmental Impact Reports. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council determines that the proposed Project <br /> would not have any significant adverse effects on the <br /> environment and therefore no Environmental Impact Report <br /> shall be prepared. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City staff is directed to cause a Notice of <br /> Determination to be file pursuant to Section 5.4 (g) <br /> of Resolution No. 77-66. <br /> <br />Section 3. This resolution shall be effective immediately. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
