CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-218 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REVOKING A CERTIFICATE OF CONVENIENCE AND <br />PUBLIC NECESSITY GRANTED TO DAKOTA McGINNIS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />in September, 1974, the Council approved the transfer of a <br />Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity from Stephen <br />Paich to Dakota McGinnis, authorizing the operation of a <br />taxi business in Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, although the transfer of the certificate was approved, Mr. <br /> McGinnis has not provided taxi service; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of November 13, 1979, the City Council received a <br />report from the Assistant City Manager, recommending that <br />since Mr. McGinnis has not operated the taxi service or <br />made any contact with the City during the past five years <br />concerning the certificate, the Council should formally <br />revoke the certificate. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1. CityCouncil revokes the Certificate of Public Convenience and <br />Necessity held by Dakota McGinnis for the reason that he has <br />not provided the taxi service as authorized in September, 1974, <br />for more than thirty (30) days. <br /> <br />Section 2.
