CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 79-216 REJECTION OF BIDS FOR THE REPLASTERING OF THE A~DOR PARK AQUATIC CENTER WADING POOL WHEREAS , the City prepared plans and specifications for the Replastering of the Amador Park Aquatic Center Wading Pool; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code §37900, et seq., the City advertised for bids regarding this project; and WHEREAS, on October 31, 1979, the bid opening was held for the above project and only one bid was received, a bid from Baron Pool Plasterers of Dublin; and WHEREAS, the bid of Baron Pool Plasterers was $15,500, over double the $7,000 budgeted for this project; and WHEREAS, the City Council, at its meeting of November 13, 1979, received a report from the Assistant to the City Manager, dated November 7, 1979, recommending that the above bid be rejected and, because there is insufficient time to rebid and complete the project before the winter rains begin, that the project be postponed until next year; and WHEREAS, Government Code Section 37900 authorizes the rejection of all bids. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The bid of Baron Pool Plasterers in the amount of $15,500 for the replastering of the Amador Park Aquatic Center Wading Pool is hereby rejected. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately.
