MEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHHEREAS, <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-205 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE <br />APPLICATION OF CASTLEWOOD PROPERTIES (CASE PUD 79-9) <br />FOR THE REZONING OF AN APPROXIMATELY 6-ACRE PARCEL OF <br />LAND LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF PICO AVENUE AND <br />VINEYARD AVENUE FROM THE R-1-6500 (SINGLE-FAMILY RESI- <br />DENTIAL) DISTRICT TO THE PUD (PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT) <br />DISTRICT <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of October 23, 1979, received <br />a proposed negative declaration for the application of Castle- <br />wood'properties (case PUD 79-9) for the rezoning of an approxi- <br />mately 6-acre parcel of landslocated at the southwest corner <br />of Pico Avenue an~Vineyard/Avenue from the R-1-6500 (Single- <br />Family Residential) District to the PUD (Planned Unit Develop- <br />ment) Distric~.'(herei~fter referred to as the Project); and <br /> <br />staff has determined that the proposed rezoning is a project <br />for the purposes of the California Environmental Quality Act; and <br /> <br />the Planning Commission recommended approval of the Project <br />(case PUD 79-9); and <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of October 23, 1979, also <br />received a staff report dated October 11, 1979, recommending <br />approval of the project, together with copies of a staff report <br />to the Planning Commission dated October 10, 1979, and excerpts <br />from minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of October 10, <br />1979; and <br /> <br />each member of the City Council had a copy of Resolution No. <br />77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative Declar- <br />ation; and <br /> <br />the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the pro- <br />posed environmental assessment, which had been published in the <br />Pleasanton Times, a newspaper of general circulation; and <br /> <br />the City Council is aware of the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Report <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations and <br />Environmental Impact Reports; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council determines that the proposed rezoning on <br /> an approximately 6-acre parcel of land located at the southwest <br /> corner of Pico Avenue and Vineyard Avenue from the R-1-6500 <br /> (Single-Family Residential) District to the PUD (Planned Unit <br /> <br /> <br />
