CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAFZDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-202 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPLICATION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />(CASE RZ-79-15) TO REZONE AN APPROXIMATELY 95 ACRE SITE LOCATED <br />EAST OF THE DEVELOPED PORTION OF THE FAIRLANDS (PLEASANTON MEAD- <br />OWS) AREA (BOUNDED GENERALLY BY 1-580 ON THE NORTH, THE CITY <br />LIMITS ON THE EAST, THE ARROYO MOCHO ON THE SOUTH AND EXISTING <br />DEVELOPMENT ON THE WEST) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Commission made application to rezone a 95 acre site <br />located east of the developed portion of the Fairlands (Pleasanton <br />Meadows) area (bounded generally by 1-580 on the north, the City <br />Limits on the east, the Arroyo Mocho on the south and existing <br />development on the west), rezoning the northwestern approximately <br />21.6 acres of the site (Tract 3148) to the R-1-8500 District and <br />the balance of the property (73.4 acres) to the R-l-10,000 District; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Commission, at its meeting of October 10, 1979, con- <br />sidered case RZ-79-15, received a staff report on the application, <br />an Initial Study dated August 1, 1979, prepared for the project <br />and testimony from the applicant and the community; and <br /> <br />~HEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Commission entered and adopted Resolution 1801 <br />attached hereto and incorporated by reference finding that the <br />proposed project would not have significant impacts on the environ- <br />ment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at its Oct'ober 23, 1979, meeting received a staff <br />report, an Initial Study, and at.a public hearing took testimony <br />from the developer, his representative, staff and the public. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1o Denies the application of the Planning Commission to rezone an <br />approximately 95 acre site, located east of the developed portion <br />of the Fairlands (Pleasanton Meadows) area (bounded generally by <br />1-580 on the north, the City Limits on the east, the Arroyo Mocho <br /> t <br /> on the south and existing development on the west), o the R-1-8500 <br /> District and the R-l-10,000 District. <br />2.
