CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-240 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION CONCURRING WITH PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1819, ISSUING A POLICY STATEMENT <br />CONCERNING THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT AND OLD <br />TOWN PLEASANTON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of November 27, 1979, the City Council received <br />a report dated November 20, 1979, from the Director of Planning <br />and Community Development, together with copies of the Central <br />Business District Residential Area Study, excerpts of the min- <br />utes of the Planning Commission meeting of November 1, 1979, <br />and Planning Commission Resolution No. 1819 which issues the <br />following policy statement: <br /> <br />"Recommends that there be no land use changes <br />(general plan amendments or rezonings) in the <br />downtown area until the impacts of the regional <br />shopping center, the Stoneridge overcrossing <br />and the railroad consolidation of the downtown <br />could be measured." <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Concurs with the action taken by the Planning Commission <br /> in the adoption of Resolution No. 1819, issuing a policy <br /> statement concerning the Central Business District (CBD) and <br /> Old Town Pleasanton, with the understandingthat this policydoes not pro- <br /> hibit applications for land use changes being submittedfor consideration. <br />Section 2.
