CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-237 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE <br />APPLICATION OF JOSEPH E. MADDEN TO REZONE THE 2.0 ACRE <br />SITE LOCATED AT 3851 VINEYARD AVENUE FROM THE RM-4000 <br />(MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT TO THE RM-1500 (MULTIPLE <br />RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of November 27, 1979, re- <br />ceived ~ proposed negative declaration for the application <br />of Joseph E. Madden to rezone the 2.0 acre site located at <br />3851 Vineyard Avenue from the RM-4000 (Mulitple Residential) <br />District to the RM-1500(Multiple Residential) District (here- <br />inafter referred to as the Project); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff has determined that the proposed rezoning is a project <br /> for the purposes of the California Quality Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact <br />Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the <br />City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66 was prepared for <br />the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the City Council at its meeting of November 27, 1979, also <br /> received that Initial Study dated November 8, 1979; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />each member of the City Council had a copy of Resolution No. <br />77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative Dec- <br />laration and Initial Study; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the <br />proposed environmental assessment, which had been published <br />in the Pleasanton Times, a newspaper of general circulation; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the City Council is aware of the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and the preparation of Environmental Impact Reports <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations <br />and Envirnomental Impact Reports. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1. The City Council determines that the proposed Negative <br />Declaration for the application of Joseph E. Madden to rezone <br />the 2.0 acre site located at 3851 Vineyard Avenue from the <br />RM-4000 (Multiple Residential) District to the ~{-1500 (Multiple <br />Residential) District would not have any significant adverse <br />effects on the environment and therefore no Environmental <br /> Impact Report shall be prepared. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
