CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-236 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION STATING CITY COUNCIL'S POSITION AND INTEREST <br />IN SUPPORT OF PROJECT #2586, A GRANT APPLICATION OF THE <br />DUBLIN SAN RAMON SERVICES DISTRICT FOR THE STUDY OF SLUDGE <br />PROCESSING AND DISPOSAL ALTERNATIVES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Dublin San Ramon Services District has applied for a grant, <br />Project ~2586, for the purpose of a study of sludge process- <br />ing and disposal alternatives; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this study and subsequent step 2 and 3 grants are important <br />both to the District and the City because the District's <br />treatment plant and sludge disposal area is within the City <br />of Pleasanton and, within the next year, that plant will <br />treat all sewage in Pleasanton; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The Council states its interest in and support of Dublin <br /> San Ramon Services District grant application, Project #2586, <br /> for the study of sludge processing and disposal alternatives. <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />2. The Council futher expresses an interest in assuring that <br />key elements of the study will relate to potential ground- <br />water degradation and potential odor problems that may be <br />associated with the various sludge disposal alternatives. <br /> <br />Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON NOVEMBER 27, 1979, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart.
