CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-252 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DENYING APPLICATION OF JOHN AND JOAN <br />CAROLINE FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT WHICH WOULD <br />COMPREHENSIVLEY CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF <br />A 69-ACRE SITE LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF VALLEY <br />AVENUE AND IMMEDIATELY EASTERLY OF THE RESIDENCES <br />ON KOLLN STREET <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of December 11, 1979, the City Council <br />received an application from John and Joan Caroline re- <br />questing that the City of Pleasanton General Plan be <br />amended to change the land use designation of a 69-acre <br />site located on the south side of Valley Avenue and im- <br />mediately easterly of the residences on Kolln Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of December 11, 1979, <br />considered reports, together with attachments from the <br />Director of Planning and Community Development regarding <br />the proposed General Plan Amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council held a public hearing with respect to the <br />General Plan Amendment at which time any member of the public <br />was offered the opportunity to address the City Council on <br />said amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after the close of the public hearing the City Council <br />deliberated upon the proposed amendment considering the <br />information set forth in the staff reports and attachments <br />thereto, as well as the information contained in the ini- <br />tial study leading to the Negative Declaration for said <br />project. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Denies the application of John and Joan Caroline for a <br /> general plan amendment to change the Land Use designation <br /> of a 69 acre site located on the south side of Valley Avenue <br /> immediately easterly of the residences along Kolln Street <br /> from "General and Limited Industrial" to "General and Limited <br /> Industrial/Commercial and Offices/Medium and/or High Density <br /> Residential." <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON DECEMBER 11, 1979, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood and Mayor Brandes <br /> <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
