CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALamEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-251 <br /> <br />~ RESOLUTION DENYING APPLICATION OF HARRIS REALITY C0. <br />TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION FOR PROPERTIES AT <br />444, 471, 486,496 AND 459 ST. MARY STREET FROM "HIGH <br />DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" TO "COMMERCIAL AND OFFICES" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of December 11, 1979, the City Council <br />received an application from Harris Realty Co. that the <br />City of Pleasanton General Plan be amended to change the <br />land use designation for properties at 444, 471,486, <br />496 and 459 St. Mary Street from "High Density Residential" <br />to "Commercial and Offices"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of December 11, 1979, con- <br />sidered reports, together with attachements from the Director <br />of Planning and Community Development regarding the proposed <br />change in land use designation of the General Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council held a public hearing with respect to the <br />General Plan Amendment at which time any member of the public <br />was offered the opportunity to address the City Council on <br />said amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after the close of the public hearing the City Council <br />deliberated upon the proposed amendment considering the <br />information set forth in the staff reports and attachments <br />thereto, as well as the information contained in the initial <br />study leading to the Negative Declaration for said project. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council denies the application of Harris Reality <br /> for an amendment to the Land Use Element of the General Plan <br /> which would have changed the land use designation for proper- <br /> ties at 444,471, 486,496 and 459 St. Mary Street from "High <br /> Density Residential" to "Commercial and Offices". <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Council determines that this is one of three <br /> times in 1979 that the land use element of the general plan <br /> may be amended as authorized by Government Code §65361. <br /> <br />Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTION ON DECEMBER 11, 1979, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Kephart, Mercer, Wood and Mayor Brandes <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
