CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79-250 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT NO GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENTS <br />BE SCHEDULED FOR PUBLIC HEARING UNTIL A REVIEW OF THE <br />GENERAL PLAN BY A CITIZENS COMMITTEE HAS BEEN COMPLETED <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council received, at its meeting of December 11, <br />1979, several applications for General Plan amendments <br />which would change the land use designations for certain <br />properties within the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a group of citizens addressed the City Council regarding <br />their concerns about the number of proposed changes to the <br />General Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council considered whether to review the land use <br />and circulation elements of the General Plan as requested <br />by the citizens group; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after discussion, it was determined to be in the best in- <br />terests of the residents of the City of Pleasanton to delay <br />the acceptance of any additional General Plan amendments <br />until a review of the General Plan by a citizens committee <br />has been completed; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Determines that no General Plan amendments be scheduled <br /> for public hearing until a review of the General Plan by a <br /> citizens committee has been completed, said report to be furn- <br /> ished by June 1, 1980, but that any application may be voted <br /> on to allow for a public hearing before that time if it is <br /> deemed necessary by a majority of the Council. <br /> <br />Section 2.
