CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 80-11 A RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPEAL OF RICHARD CONKLIN RELATING TO A HOME OCCUPATION PERMIT AT 6268 ROBIN COURT FOR A FIREARM AMMUNITION RELOADING SERVICE WHEREAS, Richard Conklin, applied to the Building Department for a home occupation permit to operate a firearm ammunition reloading service from his residence; and WHEREAS, the permit was administratively denied on the basis that issuance of such a permit would violate the requirements of the Uniform Fire Code as adopted by the City of Pleasanton; and WHEREAS, within the time specified by the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, Richard Conklin submitted an appeal to the City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton; and WHEREAS, the City Council at its meeting of January 8, 1980, received a report dated January 3, 1980, from the Build- ing Inspector regarding this matter; and WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing at which time the applicant and any other member of the public was offered an opportunity to present evidence regarding this appeal for a home occupation permit; and WHEREAS, upon the close of public hearing, the City Council delib- erated on this appeal. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1o Denies the appeal of Richard Conklin for a home occu- pation permit to allow the operation of a firearm ammuni- tion reloading service from a residence located at 6268 Robin Court for the reason that it is a type of business that does not belong in a residential area due to its hazardous nature. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective ir~nediately upon its adoption.
