CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-9 <br /> <br />RE: REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE <br />DEMOLITION OF A PORTION OF THE VERVAIS YARD, PRO- <br />JECT N0.79-14 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City prepared plans and specifications for the demo- <br />lition of a portion of the Vervais Yard, Project No. 79-14; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Ggvernment Code #37900, et seq., the City <br />Engineering Services,Department advertised for bids <br />regarding this project; and <br /> <br />at its meeting of January 8, 1980, the City Council review- <br />ed the bids received; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Ferma Corporation was determined to be the lowest <br /> responsible bid~ and the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> recommended that the bid of Ferma Corporation be accepted; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PlEASANTON RESOLVES <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The bid of Ferma Corporation in the amount of $12,000 <br /> for the demolition of a portion of the Vervais Yard, Pro- <br /> ject No. 79-14, is hereby accepted by City Council as the <br /> lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City is authorized to enter into a contract with <br /> Ferma Corporation for the improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3.
