CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-36 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUIRING VILLA ARMANDO WINERY TO PREPARE <br />A COMPREHENSIVE STUDY OF THEIR WASTE DISCHARGE PROBLEMS <br />AND TO INSTALL CERTAIN FACILITIES TO CONTROL AND MAINTAIN <br />THE INDUSTRIAL WASTE - THE STUDY SHOULD BE COMPLETED <br />AND FACILITIES INSTALLED PRIOR TO THE CITY TRANSFERRING <br />THE SUNOL SEWAGE TREATMENT PLAN FLOW TO DSRSD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Article 3, Chapter 8, Title II of the Ordinance Code of <br />the City of Pleasanton sets the standards for industrial <br />waste discharged into the City's sewage system; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Code recognizes the fact that some industries may not <br />be able to strictly comply with all discharge requirements <br />and therefore includes a procedure for the issuance of a <br />Waste Discharge Permit; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Villa Armando Winery, located on St. John Street, does not <br />currently meet all the discharge requirements and therefore <br />a Waste Discharge Permit may be required; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the staff has met with operators of Villa Armando Winery <br />and discussed the steps necessary before issuance of such <br />a Permit. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Villa Armando Winery is required to prepare a comprehen- <br /> sive study of the winery's waste discharge problems to be <br /> completed by April 11, 1980 (60 days from February 11, 1980). <br /> <br />Section 2. Villa Armando Winery shall complete the installation of <br /> minimum facilities to control and maintain the industrial <br /> waste by August 11, 1980 (6 months from February 11, 1980). <br /> <br />Section 3. Authorizes City staff to take appropriate action to see <br /> that the time table is adhered to by Villa Armando Winery, <br /> and, if necessary, discontinue water service to the winery. <br /> <br />Section 4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
