CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-56 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPEAL OF TED AND CORINNE <br />MAVRIDIS OF DECISION OF THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD DENY- <br />ING DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL FOR CASE Z-79-192 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on January 16, 1980, the Design Review Board denied the <br />application of Ted and Corinne Mavridis for design review <br />approval at 614-624 Main Street (Case Z-79-192); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />that denial was based on concern about access to and from <br />the proposed building and a concern that the building was <br />designed to utilize the parking area on the adjacent prop- <br />erty of another business; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Mr. and Mrs. Mavridis appealed the decision of the Design <br />Review Board to the City Council at its meeting of March <br />11, 1980, at which time an Initial Environmental Study for <br />this project dated January 16, 1980, as well as excerpts <br />of the minutes of the Design Review Board meeting of <br />January 16, 1980, and staff reports were available for <br />Council consideration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at the March 13, 1980, meeting of the City Council, Resolu- <br />tion No. 80-55 was adopted approving a negative declaration <br />for this project indicating that it would not have any sig- <br />nificant adverse effects on the environment and that a neg- <br />ative declaration is, therefore, appropriate for the project; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves the appeal of Ted and Corinne Mavridis of a <br /> decision of the Design Review Board denying Design Review <br /> approval for a 1700 square foot retail building to be <br /> constructed immediately behind the existing commercial <br /> development located at 614-24 Main Street, subject to the <br /> following conditions: <br /> <br />1. The size of the building to be in conformance <br /> with the legal requirements of the Code; <br /> <br />2. Removal of the 12" Walnut tree; <br /> <br />3. "No Public Parking in Back" signs installed; <br /> <br />4. Removal of meters in driveway; and <br /> <br />That applicant enters into an "exiting" <br />agreement with Pleasanton Foods as soon as <br />possible. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
