CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-45 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REQUEST OF THE CITY OF <br />LIVERMORE TO PURCHASE .5 MGD INDUSTRIAL (INCLUDING <br />NON-RETAIL COMMERCIAL) CAPACITY IN THE LAVWMA <br />FACILITIES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the LAVWMA joint powers agreement provided for up to 1 MGD <br />additional sewage capacity in the pipeline to be used only <br />for industrial (including non-retail commercial) purposes; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Pleasanton is guaranteed 500,000 gallons per day of the <br />1 MGD and has received approval from the LAVWMA Board to <br />purchase that capacity; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of February 26, 1980, <br />received a report dated February 22, 1980, regarding the <br />request of the City of Livermore to purchase the remain- <br />ing .5 MGD industrial (including non-retail commercial) <br />capacity in the LAVWMA facilities; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council hereby instructs the Pleasanton <br /> representatives on the LAVWMA Board to vote in favor <br /> of the City of Livermore's request to purchase o5 MGD <br /> industrial (including non-retail commercial) capacity <br /> in the LAVWMA facilities. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON FEBRUARY 26, 1980, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood and <br /> Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None ~ i~ <br />ATTEST; , <br /> ae F ~ <br />BY Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br /> vi 7 City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
