CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-43 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN ISSUE ON THE JUNE 3, 1980 <br />BALLOT REGARDING CITY'S ACQUISITION OF 500,000 GALLONS <br />PER DAY INDUSTRIAL CAPACITY IN THE LIVERMORE-~,~DOR <br />VALLEY WATER MANAGEMENT AGENCY PIPELINE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on February 26, 1980, the City Council received and <br />discussed a report which indicated the need for addi- <br />tional capacity in =abe Livermore-Amador Valley Water <br />Management Agency sewer pipeline for industrial and <br />non-retail commercial developments; and <br /> <br />the City Council determined after discussion that it <br />would be necessary to put the issue on the June 3, 1980, <br />Primary Election ballot pursuant to its LAVWMA Joint <br />Powers Agreement entered into on February 1, 1978; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the consolidation of the measure with the June 3, 1980 <br />election requires, pursuant to California Elections Code <br />Section 23302, the filing of a resolution with the Board <br />of Supervisors and County Clerks requesting a consolida- <br />tion with a statewide election; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves calling an election and placing the measure <br /> on the June 3, 1980 ballot seeking the approval of the <br /> electorate to purchase the additional 500,000 gallons per <br /> day industrial capacity in the Livermore-Amador Valley <br /> Water Management Agency pipeline. <br /> <br />Section 2. Requests the Board of Supervisors of Alameda County to <br /> consolidate this measure with its June 3, 1980 Primary <br /> Election Ballot. <br /> <br />Section 3. This request shall be filed with the Board of Super- <br /> visors of Alameda County and the County Clerk of Alameda <br /> County. <br /> <br />Section 4.
