CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-77 <br /> <br />APPROVING CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT ZONE PARKING <br />ENFORCEMENT AND HIRING TWO PART-TIME TEMPORARY <br />PARKING CONTROL ASSISTANTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of March 11, 1980, the City Council <br />requested the staff prepare a report outlining alterna- <br />tive means of enforcing parking control in the downtown <br />area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff prepared a report dated March 20, 1980 presenting <br /> four alternatives for enforcement of parking controls; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council at its meeing of March 25, 1980, reviewed <br /> the alternatives presented. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves the hiring of two part-time temporary Parking <br /> Control Assistants, each to work approximately 24 hours <br /> per week, Monday through Saturday, to make five parking <br /> enforcement rounds per day in the Central Business District. <br /> <br />Section 2. Approves the amendment of approximately $2,280.00 to the <br /> current Police Department budget to cover the cost of this <br /> program. <br /> <br />Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br /> its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON MARCH 25° 1980, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Mercer, Wood and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Kephart ~ ~ ~ <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> ames R.
