CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-69 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO CANVASS THE RESULTS OF <br />THE APRIL 8, 1980, MUNICIPAL ELECTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Elections Code Section 22932 requires the City Council to <br />canvass the returns of the April 8, 1980, election by the <br />first Tuesday after the election; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Section 22932.5 of the Elections Code authorizes the City <br />Council to allow the canvass of the election results to be <br />made by the City Clerk prior to the first Tuesday after the <br />Municipal Election; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton is hereby <br /> authorized and directed to canvass the results of the <br /> General Municipal Election to be held on April 8, 1980, <br /> within the City of Pleasanton. This canvass of the <br /> returns shall be conducted pursuant to Sections 18405, <br /> 18406 and 18407 of the Elections Code. <br /> <br />Section 2.
