CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-63 <br /> <br />APPROVING CONNECTION TO THE SEWER SYSTEM OF THE <br />SHANNON PARCEL AT 3536 VINE STREET <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of March 11, 1980, the City Council re- <br />ceived a report from the Director of Public Works and <br />Utilities dated March 6, 1980, regarding a request for <br />a connection to the City sewerage system from Edward <br />and Wilma Shannon of their property at 3536 Vine Street, <br />Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a report on this matter had previously been given to <br />the City Council in March, 1979, at which time Council <br />did not concur with the previous staff recommendation <br />to annex the entire Remen Tract island; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the request of Mr. and Mrs. Shannon is also supported <br />by a report dated March 5, 1980, from Mr. Norman Paul, <br />Registered Sanitarian for Alameda County Health Depart- <br />ment, in which Mr. Paul indicated that the private septic <br />tank serving the Shannon property is old and malfunction- <br />ing and constitutes both health and safety hazzards; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />after Council reviewed the reports prepared in 1979, as <br />well as the more recent reports, it was determined to be <br />in the best interests of the public health and welfare <br />to approve the connection to the City sewerage system of <br />the property at 3536 Vine Street; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves the request of Edward and Wilma Shannon to <br /> connect their property at 3536 Vine Street, Pleasanton, <br /> to the City sewerage system. <br /> <br />Section 2.
