CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 80-62 APPROVING LANGUAGE FOR BALLOT MEASURE REGARDING ADDITIONAL CAPACITY FOR INDUSTRIAL (INCLUDING NON-RETAIL COMMERCIAL) USES IN THE LAVWMA PIPE- LINE WHEREAS, at its meeting of February 26, 1980, the City Council voted to place on the June, 1980, ballot a measure seeking the approval of the electorate to purchase the additional capacity in the Livermore-Amador Valley Water Management Agency pipeline for industrial and non-retail commercial developments; and WHEREAS, the City Council requested the City Attorney to prepare suggested language to be approved at the next Council meeting; and WHEREAS, on March 11, 1980, Council received a report from the City Attorney dated March 6, 1980, SR-80-63, recommend- ing language for the ballot measure; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approves the following language for the measure to be placed on the ballot for the June 3, 1980, election: "Shall the City of Pleasanton acquire 500,000 gallons of additional pipeline capacity for industrial (including non-retail cor~ercial) uses in the Livermore-Amador Valley Water Man- agement Agency pipeline? All costs relating to such expansion to be paid by the private developers with no cost to taxpayer." Section 2. Council agrees that there will be no rebuttal to any argument submitted in opposition to the measure. Section 3. This resolution shall be effective immediately.
