CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-82 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING A NEW POSITION OF DIRECTOR OF FINANCE <br />AND SALARY RANGE OF THE NEW POSITION <br /> <br />W~HEREAS, <br /> <br />the new position of Director of Finance is needed to <br />ensure that appropriate attention is given to the <br />financial operation of the City; and <br /> <br />W~HEREAS, <br /> <br />the Assistant City Manager position, which is now vacant, <br />included the responsibilities of the Chief Financial <br />Officer of the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, those financial duties and responsibilities have been <br /> assumed by the Accounting Officer; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />it is recommended that the existing Accounting Officer <br />be promoted to the Director of Finance position and that <br />the Accounting Officer position be left vacant. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1. Authorizes a new position of Director of Finance and <br />the salary range to be established at $1,980 - $2,475 <br />per month. <br /> <br />Section 2.
