CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-118 <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF INDUSTRIAL WASTE DISCHARGE PERMIT- <br />STANDARD CHEESE FACTORY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />industries that produce effluent that can potentially <br />affect the operation of the sewage treatment facilities <br />are required by City Ordinance to have an Industrial <br />Waste Discharge Permit issued by the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the purpose of the Industrial Waste Discharge Permit is <br />to place specific limitations and conditions on the method <br />of discharging waste into the City's sewage system; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> <br />the permit also requires that the waste meet certain <br />characteristics, which may require the industry to <br />pretreat to ensure that the standards specified in the <br />permit are not violated; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the owner of the Cheese Factory has installed all of the <br /> special equipment required by the permit; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, all of these conditions included in the permit are being <br /> met by the Cheese Factory; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />it should be understood that the Industrial Waste Discharge <br />Permit does not guarantee any specific amount of future <br />sewage capacity. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves the Industrial Waste Discharge Permit for the <br /> Standard Cheese Factory, Inc., for a period of three years <br /> from the date of its issuance. <br /> <br />pection 2.
