CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 80-116 REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT SEWER REPLACEMENT PHASE I PROJECT WHEREAS, the City prepared plans_ and specifications for the construc- tion of Central Business District Sewer Replacement Phase I Project; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code ~37900, et seq., the City Engineering Services Department advertised for and re- ceived bids regarding this project; and WHEREAS, at the City Council meeting of May 13, 1980, the bid of Manuel C. Jardim, Inc., in the amount of $13,068.75 was determined to be the lowest responsible bid for the pro- ject; and WHEREAS , this project was included with a budgeted amount of $12,000 in the 1979-80 Capital Improvement Program and $630 of that amount has been spent for circuit television inspection of this line, leaving $11,370 for the construction of the pro- ject; and WHEREAS, at the meeting of May 13, 1980, the City Council received a report from the Director of Engineering Services dated May 2, 1980, recommending that the bid of Manuel Co Jardim, Inc. be accepted, and the Capital Improvement Program Budget be increased by $1,698.75 to provide additional funding for this project; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The bid of Manuel C. Jardim, Inc. in the amount of $13,068.75 for the construction of the Central Business District Sewer Replacement Phase I Project, is hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest responsible bid. Section 2. The amount budgeted for this project in the 1979-80 Capital Im rovement Program is hereby increased in the amount of M1,698.75 and the 1979-80 adopted budget amended accordingly. Section 3. The Mayor is authorized to enter into a contract with Manuel C. Jardim, Inc. for the improvements specified above. Section 4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. III
