CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-125 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OVERRULING OBJECTIONS AND PROCEEDING <br />WITH ABATEMENT OF WEEDS, RUBBISH OR REFUSE UPON OR <br />IN FRONT OF CERTAIN DESCRIBED PROPERTIES WITHIN THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON WHICH CONSTITUTE PUBLIC NUISANCES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council at its meeting of March 25, 1980, adopted <br />Resolution No. 80-68 (declaring that weeds, rubbish or <br />refuse upon or in front of certain described properties <br />within the City of Pleasanton constitute public nuisances <br />and that the same shall be abated, and setting a public <br />hearing in regard to same); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 80-68 was adopted pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Government Code Sections 39501-39588; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />said Resolution designated April 22, 1980, at the hour of <br />8:00 p.m., at the Pleasanton City Council Chambers, Alameda <br />County Fairgrounds Cafeteria, as the time, date and place <br />to hear and consider objections to the abatement and <br />removal of weeds, rubbish or refuse upon or in front of <br />certain described properties within the City of Pleasanton <br />more particulary set forth in Exhibit A to Resolution No. <br />80-68; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, due to improper notice to the owners of the property, the <br /> public hearing was continued; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on May 13, 1980, the City Council held a public hearing <br />to hear and consider objections to the abatement and <br />removal of weeds, rubbish or refuse upon or in front of <br />certain described properties within the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. On March 25, 1980, the City Council elected to proceed <br /> under the provisions of Government Code Sections 39501-39588 <br /> and did declare as a public nuisance all weeds, rubbish or <br /> refuse upon or in front of certain described properties <br /> within the City of Pleasanton as more particularly set forth <br /> in Exhibit A to Resolution No. 80-68. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Council fixed May 13, 1980, at the hour of <br /> 8:00 p.m., at Alameda County Fairgrounds Cafeteria, as the <br /> time, date and place for hearing all objections to the <br /> proposal of removal of weeds, rubbish or refuse, and the <br /> Fire Prevention Officer was charged with the responsibility <br /> to perform the duties imposed by Government Code Sections <br /> 39560-39588, and he did prepare notices to destroy weeds <br /> and remove rubbish and refuse, and did in the time and <br /> <br /> <br />
