CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO, 80-156 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION WITH <br />THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR ALL0~ATION <br />OF TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR <br />1979-80 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Transportation Development Act of 1971 provides for the <br />disbursement of funds from the Local Transportation Fund of <br />the County of Alameda for use by eligible claimants for the <br />purpose of pedestrian/bicycle projects; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to the rules and regulations that have been adopted <br />by the Secretary of the Business and Transportation Agency <br />of the State of California in accordance with the provisions <br />of the aforementioned legislation, an eligible claimant wish- <br />ing to receive an allocation from the Local Transportation <br />Fund shall file its application with the appropriate trans- <br />portation planning agency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, funds from the local Transportation Fund will be required to <br /> construct bicycle facilities; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1o That the City Manager is authorized to execute and file <br /> an appropriate claim pursuant to the terms of the Transport- <br /> ation Development Act of 1971, as amended, and pursuant to <br /> applicable rules and regulations promulgated thereunder, <br /> together with all necessary supporting documents, with the <br /> Metropolitan Transportation Commission, for fiscal year <br /> 1979-80 Transportation Development Act monies. <br /> <br />Section 2. That a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the <br /> Metropolitan Transportation Commission in conjunction with <br /> the filing of the claim, and the Metropolitan Transportation <br /> Commission be requested to concur in these findings and <br /> grant the allocations of funds as specified herein. <br /> <br />Section 3.
