CITY C~JNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEAS~TON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-151 <br /> <br />REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO EUGENE G. ALVES <br />CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF WEST <br />ANGELA AT W.P.R.R. AND ANGELA AT SoP.T.C. , PROJECT NO. <br /> <br />79-2 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for the improvement <br /> of West Angela at W.P.R.R. and Angela at S.P.T.C.; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant to Government Code No. 37900, et seq., the City <br />Engineering Services Department advertised for bids regarding <br />this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were received on May 28, 1980, and it was determined that <br /> Eugene G. Alves Construction Company, Inc. was the lowest <br /> responsible bidder; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering Services, in his report dated <br /> June 2, 1980, recommended that said bid be accepted. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The bids of Eugene G. Alves Construction Company, Inc., in <br /> the amount of $135,574.50 for the improvement of West Angela <br /> at W.P.R.R. and Angela at S.P.T.C. - Project No. 79-2, is <br /> hereby accepted by City Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City is authorized to enter into a contract with Eugene <br /> G. Alves Construction Company, Inc., for the improvements <br /> specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3.
