CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-145 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 76-79 (ESTABLISHING <br />TRAFFIC REGULATIONS FOR CITY STREETS) BY ADDING SECTION <br />13.5 RELATING TO NO PARKING AND DESIGNATING JOHNSON DRIVE <br />WITHIN THAT RESTRICTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, on April 12, 1976, adopted Resolution <br />No. 76-79 (A resolution Establishing Traffic Regulations <br />for City Streets); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended Resolution <br /> No. 76-79; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council, at its meeting of March 11, 1980, dis- <br />cussed the problems of trucks parking overnight on Johnson <br />Drive from Tennis Town to its southern most end; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />since a motion to adopt a resolution restricting parking on <br />Johnson Drive was defeated by a split vote, the matter <br />was continued to April 22, 1980, for a full Council attendance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this matter had been continued from time to time, and at <br />its meeting of May 27, 1980, the Council again discussed <br />restricting parking on Johnson Drive; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Amends Resolution No. 76-79 (Establishing Traffic <br /> Regulations for City Streets) by adding Section 13.5, <br /> relating to no parking zones for trucks and trailers <br /> in excess of 20 feet in length as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 13.5 No Parking Zones for Trucks and <br />Trailers in excess of 20 feet in length. There <br />shall be no parking of trucks and trailers in <br />excess of 20 feet in length on streets or portions <br />of streets as hereinafter described: <br /> <br />Johnson Drive from Tennis Town to the <br />southern most end of Johnson Drive on <br />both sides at any time. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON MAY 27, 1980, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Kephart, Mohr, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br /> <br /> <br />
